Politics are big business and children should NOT be thrown into having to decide between the family and the teacher. As a substitute teacher I am asked constantly what my political and religious beliefs are. My answer to my students and to the board is "it is not open for discussion on school grounds, nor should personal politics be discussed in any classroom." This also applies to the board room. I do my best to keep politics out of the board room as well even when pressed.
Many people have asked why there is what looks like a bomb in my logo. There have also been people who think it may be a crown. I want to let everyone know that it is a bomb, not a crown. The graphic designer I went to, developed my logo after an extensive interview process regarding my background.

I spent over 20 years as a military bomb technician. The bomb in the logo is based on the World War 2 bomb disposal insignia. Bomb disposal technicians have extensive knowledge and training in science, emerging technologies, mathematics, history, applied principles of physics and mechanics. All of these subjects make for great substitute teachers.

As a professional instructor and substitute teacher, I have been able to leverage my experience in the military and use it to enhance learning for all of my students.
